Do you only do weddings or can the space be used for other events?

Not at all! We've done a multitude of events at The Wool Mill from product launches, tv shoots to fashion shows and even meditation and mindfulness workshops.

What furniture is included in your blank canvas venue hire?

Whilst we call ourselves blank canvas, we provide almost everything you need to host an incredible wedding or event.

All spaces come fully furnished including cocktail furniture, lounge suites, raw timber tables, a vast array of lush plants in custom pots and seating for up to 200 guests. Simply get in touch if you'd like to see a look book of all our inventory!

What time does the venue close?

Friday and Saturday - 12pm

Thursday and Sunday - 11pm

All other days - 10pm

Do you have parking on site?

We have 9 VIP car spaces at The Wool Mill that are usually dedicated to suppliers (caterer, DJ, photographer, VIPS).

There are 180 available car spaces directly facing the venue on Donald Street and when combined with the streets to the side of The Wool Mill, there are over 240 available all day parking spots for your guests.

Are there any outdoor spaces?

Yes, the main outdoor space is the front courtyard, accessed by the laneway as you enter The Wool Mill.

A perfect spot for a food truck or even to have a champagne cart or floral / balloon installation as the focus point your guests will see as they come down the laneway! The space is undercover too, so it's perfect as an outdoor option, even if the weather takes a turn!

The layout in the photos doesn't suit my event, can I change it?

Yes! The Wool Mill has been designed with flexibility in mind. We love seeing how the space can be brought to life in different ways and we're always happy to share ideas on layouts that take your event to the next level!

Do you have an exclusive caterer or can I use my own?

We work with Refresh Hospitality, who create incredible menus and experiences in all wedding and event settings.

They're known for their unforgettable shared dining experience, however also love catering cocktail events, plated dining and everything in between!

If you have already booked your caterer, or have someone specific in mind, just let our team know and and we'll chat about we can make your event come to life at The Wool Mill!

Can we BYO?

You're welcome to byo at The Wool Mill. We do however require you to have your catering provided by a caterer with the relevant licenses who can ensure all RSA requirements are being met. Whilst we love a good party, we have to make sure a guest doesn't have a few too many cocktails and set fire to the place :)

If you're thinking of byo for your wedding, we have created a series of checklists to help ensure you don't fall victim to lots of the common mistakes couple's make when planning byo for their wedding.

Can we use the kitchen?

At The Wool Mill, we have a finishing kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer and stainless steel bench tops. The use of this space and the equipment is included in your venue hire fee.

You will however need to bring all cooking appliances such as electric cooktops, combi-ovens, crockery, cutlery, glassware and any other equipment required to cater your event. If you'd like more information on this, we'd be happy to assist! Contact us here.
